The She FARMS Apex Farm Tour invites you to step onto our working farms, where you'll connect with nature, meet some friendly animals, and discover the heart of sustainable farming. Perfect for families, foodies, or anyone curious about where produce and other commodities come from, this is your chance to experience the farm life up close!
During the tour, meet the local women farmers that are the backbone of these thriving farms, as well as some farm guests, like master gardeners, other farm producers, county extension agents, and children's book authors, just to name a few. Explore fields of juicy berries, flowers, grapes, and Christmas trees. You will be able to hear stories from our farmers about daily life, sustainable practices, and the joys of working with nature. Watch some fun animals and bring home a piece of farm life with berries, flowers, wine and so much more availalbe to purchase. Join us on a fun and educational adventure! Get your boots dirty, snap some photos, and leave with a new found appreciation for farm-fresh living.

Tours start at the top and bottom of every hour. You choose your route - start at any farm you like.
All of our tours require walking. Each location is a working farm with limited handicap accessibility and a likelihood of muddy terrain.
NO DOGS, please. Some of our farms have working animals, and others require no pets for food safety considerations. We appreciate your cooperation.

We are hoping to have a Food Truck at Jordan Lake Farms from 11-2 (TBD). Wine and charcuterie are available at Cloer Family Vineyards, and you can buy ice cream and other local goodies at Jean's Neighborhood Market. Fresh berries ripe for the picking at Farrell's Creek Farm and Packhouse Farm.

Experience Farrell's Creek Farm in peak season, ripe with blueberries, blackberries, and cherry tomatoes, as well as flowering plants and herbs. Chatham County Extension Master Gardeners will be having a booth onsite to answer any gardening questions and provide information about soil testing. Author and Gardener, Annette Meredith will also be present and will have nature related books for sale for childern and adults.
Come and see beautiful Sun Star Farm School preschool and summer camp. Feed and visit with our adorable farm animals! Join us for Fairy Gem/Geode cracking. Learn about our awesome summer day camps for ages 3-12, our Farm School for the 2025/26 school year. Let your imagination soar, explore, dream....discover.
Friendship Stables is a co-op horse boarding barn, that you will pass on the way to Sun Star Farm School. Unfortunately, they cannot participate in this years event, but please make sure to say "Hi" to the horses and learn more about Horse and Buddy, with author, Rosa Scarborough, who will have copies of her book about Finn, a little pony at Horse and Buddy available for purchase.
At Jean's, Jean will be there to share the history of the iconic Berry Patch. In the market, sip on fresh lemonade, shop and watch a video of Ronald, back in the day, giving a step by step detailed talk about the process of planting and growing the strawberries that were here for 30+ years! Enjoy a honey tasting with Robert King, our Beekeeper, and learn beekeeping!

No, no pets are allowed on the Tour properties. Some of our Farms have working animals and others need to restrict pets for food safety purposes. Thank you for your cooperation.
The Farm Tour will be photographed. With purchase of your ticket, you agree that any photos of you take on June 28, 2025 may be used in publications, news releases, online, and/or other communications related to the mission of the participating Tour Farms.
All Tour sites have parking available. At the Marthas Chapel locations, overflow parking is available in the Jordan Lake Farms lot.
Restrooms and/or Portable Johns are available at Cloer Family Vineyards, Jean's Neighborhood Market, Jordan Lake Farms, Sun Star, and Farrell Creek Farm.
